GET ON THE NARROW ROAD
TEXT: Matthew 7:13-14
MEMORY VERSE: Psalm 122:1 “I was glad when they said unto me, let us go into the house of
the Lord.”
TEACHER’S OBJECTIVE
1. Let the children know that there is only one way which leads to heaven.
2. Explain the two ways to the children, the narrow way and the broad way and also let
them know where each way leads.
CENTRAL TRUTH
The narrow way leads to Heaven.
INTRODUCTION
Introduce the lesson with the following song: - Jesus the way, the truth and the life,
whoever comes to him small never die.
PROGRESSION OF EVENTS
1. There are two ways: a broad way and a narraw way.
2. The broad way leads to destruction, it is a wide gate and many people follow this
way – it is a sinful way.
3. The narrow way leads to Heaven and few people follow this way.
4. Those on the narrow way are those who believe in Jesus.
5. It is only those on the narrow road who will go to heaven.
APPLICATION
Get on the Narrow Road. The gateway to eternal life is called narrow. This does not mean it
is difficult to become a Christian, but that there is only one way to live eternally with
God and a few that decide to follow it. Believing in Jesus is the only way to heaven,
because he alone died for our sins and made us right before God. Living his way not be
popular, but it is true and right. Thank God there is one way!
MESSAGE OF SALVATION
It is important you go to the house of the Lord always so that you can learn more about the
Narrow way. At church you will know that Jesus said “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life;
no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
INVITATION
Get on the narrow road today. Believing in Jesus is the only way to heaven, because he alone
died for our sins and made us right before God. Give your life to Jesus today.
