MEMORY VERSE: John 15:17 “These things I command you that you love one another.”

1. Loving others is a command of God.
2. God is Love.

CENTRAL TRUTH
To love others is a command.

INTRODUCTION
Introduce the lesson with the following song:
1. Be kind, Be kind, Be kind to one another
2. Be kind, Be kind, Be kind to one another
3. Share toys, share toys, share toys with one another
4. Share toys, Share toys, Share toys with one another.

PROGRESSION OF EVENTS
1. The Lord Jesus gave us a new commandment which is to love one another. John 13:34
2. By this all men will know that we are Jesus’ disciples if we love one another. John 13:35.
3. Jesus Christ has first loved us. 1 John 4:19.
4. God showed His love by giving His only begotten Son to die for our sins. John 3:16.
5. When we love others this shows that we are born of God and know God. John. 4:8.

APPLICATION
Jesus says that our Christ- Like love will show we are His disciples. Disciples are Jesus’
followers. We can love others by sharing our time, love and toys with friends in our school,
church and in our neighborhood. We can also love others by being kind and helpful.

MESSAGE OF SALVATION
As many people as we refuse to love we can have a change of heart towards them today and
start loving them as commanded by God.

INVITATION
Before you can love others you must love Jesus. Receive Jesus into heart today, ask Him to
forgive your sins and cleanse you with His precious blood, then He would write you name in
the Book of Life. Then He would give you the power to be a child of God, and you would be
able to love others.

CHALLENGES
Try to have more friends and to love more people.

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
1. Who commanded us to love others? Jesus John 15:17.
2. How can we love others? By being kind. Remind them of the good Samaritan.

ACTIVITIES
Let the children know that it is good to always allow their friends to plat with their toys.
This shows a sign of love between them. They must not fight or bully each other but play
together.

WEDNESDAY – 1 John13:13 -The world hate Christians.
THURSDAY - 1 John 3:14 - Love the brethren.
FRIDAY - 1 John 3:15 - No murderer has eternal life.
SATURDAY - 1 John 3:16 - God laid His life down for us.
SUNDAY - 1 John 3:17 - Show love by helping others.
