TEXT: Luke 6:31

MEMORY VERSE: Matthew 22:39b “Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.”

TEACHER’S OBJECTIVE
Children should be made to understand the repercussion of doing bad to others and the reward that’s in doing good to others.

CENTRAL TRUTH
Do unto others what you want others to do to you.

INTRODUCTION
Ask the children questions on last week’s lesson.

PROGRESSION OF EVENTS
1. The way of the wicked is as darkness Proverbs 14:19a.
2. The wicked know not at what they stumble Proverbs 4:19b.
3. The wicked flee when no man pursues them Proverbs 28:1.
4. Those who love to do good; their path is as the shining light that shineth more and
more unto the perfect day Proverbs 4:18.
5. We must be perfect like our heavenly Father and Practice the Golden Rule.

LIFE APPLICATION
As you would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise. This is the golden rule
which you should practice. Rehab practiced the Golden Rule and it worked for her. She helped
the spies and the spies were also kind to her they saved her life and her family members
Joshua 2:1-24.

MESSAGE OF SALVATION
It is only when Jesus is in your life that you can practice the golden rule. Have your received
Jesus? Accept Him today, turn away from sin and let the blood of Jesus cleanse you from all sins.

CONCLUSION
Practice the Golden Rule, do unto others what you expect others to do to you.

CHALLENGE
Do good to others at all times and others would do good to you too.

INVITATION
Invite Jesus into your life today and He would give you the power to practice the golden rule.

Tell the children the story of Rehab (Joshua 2:1-24) She is an example of someone who practiced the golden rule.

FRIDAY - The commandment are summed up as you shall love your neighbour as yourself.
SATURDAY - Romans 13:10 - Love is the fulfillment of the law.
SUNDAY - Luke 6:31 - Practice the Golden Rule.
