  TELL THE GOOD NEWS-PART 3

TEXT: ACTS. 8:26-39

MEMORY VERSE: Mark 16:15 “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”

CENTRAL TRUTH:
Tell the good news everywhere you go.

TEACHER’S OBJECTIVE
To encourage the children to tell others the good news wherever they may be.

INTRODUCTION
Introduce the lesson with the following song:-
Good News, Good News
Christ died for me,
Good News, Good News
If I believe
Good News, Good News
I am saved eternally
That’s wonderful, extra Good News.

PROGRESSION OF EVENTS
1. God told Philip to leave the place where he was and go to the desert.
2. Philip left and went to the desert, he saw a man sitting in a chariot.
3. The man was reading the reading the Bible.
4. “Do you understand what you are reading?” Philip asked the man.
5. No, answered the Ethiopian official. “I need someone to explain the words to me. Can
you help me?
6. “I will help you, “Replied Philip.
7. Philip climbed into the chariot and from where the Ethiopian was reading he preached
Christ unto him.
8. After preaching, Philip baptized the Ethiopian official because he believed in Jesus.

LIFE APPLICATION
Philip found the Ethiopian man reading the Scriptures and he took advantage of this
opportunity to explain the Gospel by asking if the man understood what he was reading.
Philip (1) followed the spirit’s leading, (2) began the discussion from where the man was
(immersed in the prophecies of Isaiah), and (3) Explained how Jesus Christ fulfilled
Isaiah’s prophecies. When we share the Gospel, we should start where the other person’s
concerns are focused. Then we can bring the Gospel to bear on those concerns.

When teaching the Memory verse let the children know that the Gospel means Good News and
every opportunity we have we should share it with others.

INVITATION
All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God Romans 3:23; “The wages of sin is death
but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” Romans 6:23. Confess your
sins, ask for forgiveness and ask Jesus to come into your life today and receive the gift of
eternal life. Then you would be able to tell others the good news.

CONCLUSION
Win a soul today.
